Station Afrique Club 2024, Ile-Saint-Denis

After several years of preparation, the Olympic and Paralympic Games are finally coming to L'Île-Saint-Denis, and to mark the occasion, the town's departments, in partnership with numerous institutions and associations, have prepared three particularly lively weeks on our island. From Saturday 20 July to Sunday 11 August inclusive, the Robert-César stadium and the adjacent Sisley slab will be pulsating to the rhythm of the Games, with two celebration sites running side by side and complementing each other to provide residents with plenty of fun and memorable moments!

Right next to the stadium, on the "dalle Sisley" between the stadium changing rooms and the secondary school, it's time for Station Afrique! On the same dates and at the same times as Club 2024, the African continent, which is so much a part of everyday life on L'Île-Saint-Denis thanks to the origins of a large part of the population, will be in the spotlight with an Africa Village promising many lively afternoons and evenings! On the programme EVERY DAY: stalls run by the town and by associations, relaxation areas, exotic food and drink, music, a media platform, an Africa Village with the participation of numerous African countries showcasing their culture, crafts and cultural programming, Olympic athletes coming to meet the locals, and above all a wide range of concerts during themed evenings! Some of the concerts will be ticketed, others will not, but ALL of them must be booked in advance via an online ticketing service, which will be launched shortly. Among the names already announced are Youssou Ndour, Cappadonna and Inspectah Deck (Wu-Tang Clan), Dip Doundou Guiss, Ronisia, Tam Sir, Walshy Fire (Major Lazer) and Poundo Gomis. The opening night of Station Afrique, on Saturday 20 July, will feature two concerts by the vocal ensemble Sequenza 9.3 and Senegalese artist Senny Camara.
